Our tests were run on a heavily fragmented partition of 250GB, and O&O did a good job, but not extraordinary. Space could have been further optimized.

CPU and memory are either moderately or highly demanded (according to the type of defragmentation) when O&O is performing a task.

To access Clean Disk Security, you will have to run it as an administrator. The interface's white on black color-scheme isn't the easiest on the eyes, but the overall layout is easy to navigate. Simply select the drive you wish to clean, and check off the areas you want to include during the cleaning process. The program includes options to clean recent files, clean browser cookies, and empty the Recycle Bin. As far as cleaning methods, you can manually enter the number of passes, or choose the NIS, Gutmann, or Test mode methods. We liked the status bar at the bottom of the window that let us know the program's progress. We also liked that the program displayed detailed lists of any found cookies and plug-ins so that you can directly manage them.

In total, it fixed 53 additional Registry issues, not counting items deselected, most of which were inconsequential. We rebooted and ran each tool again, with no surprises, which is what we hoped to find; nothing was missed, and nothing unexpected happened.

CCleaner Enhancer is freeware, and it adds clearly visible functionality to software that already has some things going for it. It's just the beginning, of course; as creative developers add capabilities to CCleaner, tools like Cleaner Enhancer will make them available to you.
